Required Documentation to Purchase Distilled Spirits
Thank you for your interest in establishing a wholesale purchasing account with db Brands™. To comply with the regulations of the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC), the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA), and all applicable federal and state laws, every business requesting to purchase distilled spirits must provide the documentation listed below before a trade account can be approved. Account approval is required prior to the processing of any orders.

Required Customer Documentation
✓ Required Document Purpose
☐ 🛡 California ABC License Copy of a current and active California Alcoholic Beverage Control License authorizing the sale of alcoholic beverages.
☐ 📄 California Seller’s Permit (CDTFA) Copy of a valid California Seller’s Permit issued by the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration.
☐ 📋 California Resale Certificate Completed and signed California Resale Certificate for products purchased for resale, referencing the Seller’s Permit number.
☐ 🏢 Business Legal Name & DBA Business legal name and any registered “Doing Business As” (DBA) names must match all licensing records.
☐ 🏷 Federal Employer Identification Number (EIN) Federal Tax Identification Number issued by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).
☐ 📍 Licensed Business Address Physical business address licensed by the California ABC. Deliveries can only be made to approved licensed locations unless otherwise permitted by law.
☐ 👥 Authorized Purchasers List of owners, managers, or employees authorized to purchase alcoholic beverages on behalf of the business.
☐ 👤 Business Contact Information Owner, General Manager, Purchasing Manager, Billing Contact, Telephone Number, and Email Address.

Approval of credit terms is subject to db Brands’ credit review and underwriting policies.

db Brands distributes alcoholic beverages exclusively to businesses possessing all required federal, state, and local licenses and permits, and holds all licenses required to operate as a wholesaler in the alcohol industry.

All licenses, permits, and business information are subject to verification prior to account approval. db Brands reserves the right to request additional documentation, reject an application, suspend deliveries, or discontinue sales if any required license is expired, suspended, revoked, altered, or otherwise determined to be invalid.
